Homework
The school recognises that homework is a very valuable part of the school curriculum and can be an important means to raise a pupil’s self-esteem, as well as supporting work done in the classroom. Each class teacher is responsible for the homework content and suggested experiences that children will need to have to support what is taught at school.
Each year group has a compilation of age appropriate reading texts that we encourage the children to share at home, as well as a Homework Passport issued each term filled with a wide variety of activities for the children to do depending on what the individual class topics are.
More bespoke arrangements are sometimes made for those children who require specially formulated activities to suit their particular learning style.
