Nursery Admissions
Oasis Academy Shirley Park Primary has one nursery class for 3-4 year olds, the year before they start in Reception. We have a major intake in September of children who will turn 4 during that academic year. The Nursery is based at our Stroud Green Campus alongside our Reception Classes.

Our aim is to provide holistic learning in a safe, happy and stimulating environment through which all children are challenged and make outstanding progress. To develop confident, happy children, equipped with foundations to nurture a lifelong love of learning.
We foster a harmonious atmosphere which supports and promotes self-esteem. We build confident communicators supporting every child as an individual across development in all areas of the Early Years and Foundation Stage. We help every child to grow up feeling confident about their own identity, in a spirit of friendship, understanding fairness and the rights of others, valuing diversity, and ready to be a British citizen.
The Academy has an agreed admission number of 52, split between a morning session and an afternoon session, in one class - Little Acorns.
We are able to offer full week-day places (for 5 full days a week) to children whose parents are eligible for the Government’s 30 Hour Free Childcare Scheme and every week-day morning or every week-day afternoon places for all other children who are eligible for 15 hours Government funding. Top-up sessions may be available to purchase. All places are dependent on availability of places in the Nursery.
If you are require an in-year place in the Nursery for 2025-26 please contact us to see if there are spaces or to be put on a waiting list before making an application.

How do I know if I am eligible
for funding support?
All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 570 hours of funded childcare a year (usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks) from the term following their 3rd birthday.
If you are a working family, your 3 or 4 year old may be entitled to an additional 570 hours a year, sometimes referred to as 30 hours or extended entitlement. To see if you are eligible log on to www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
